This policy explains what personal information ConvertMyCopy.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written in plain language on purpose. The website is run by Sajid Ahamed, trading as ConvertMyCopy (“I”, “me”, “my”). If you have a question, email [email protected].

The short version

  • I collect what you type into the contact form. Analytics only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner.
  • I use it to reply to you, run the site, and improve it.
  • I do not sell your personal information, and I do not run advertising trackers on this site.
  • You can ask me to see, correct or delete what I hold about you at any time.

Who this policy covers

This site is written for people who run or work at dental marketing companies and agencies. It is a business to business site and it is not directed at children. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, tell me and I will delete it.

What I collect

Information you give me

When you use the contact form, I collect your first name, last name, email address, company name, the service you are interested in, and the message you write. If you email me directly or book a call, I also keep that correspondence and any details you share in it.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics (only if you accept). The site uses Google Analytics 4, but it does not load until you click “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. If you accept, it records pages viewed, how long visits last, the page you came from, your approximate location (country or city level), and your device, browser and operating system. It sets cookies and uses identifiers to tell visits apart.
  • Fonts. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser requests them directly from Google, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
  • Security and server logs. My web server and Cloudflare record your IP address, browser details and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site secure, block abuse and fix faults.
  • Bot protection. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a submission comes from a person. Turnstile may process your IP address and information about your browser to decide that.

Why I use it, and my legal basis

  • To answer your enquiry and discuss work together. This is needed to take steps you have asked for, or it is in my legitimate interest in running my business.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it. I do this with analytics only if you consent through the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time.
  • To keep the site secure. This is my legitimate interest in preventing abuse and spam.
  • To meet legal and accounting duties if we work together, for example keeping invoices.
  • To email you updates only if you ask me to. Every such email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also just tell me to stop.

Who I share it with

I share personal information only with the service providers needed to run the site and my business, and only for those purposes:

  • Google, for Google Analytics (only if you accept) and Google Fonts.
  • Cloudflare, for content delivery, security and the Turnstile bot check.
  • My hosting and infrastructure providers, who store the website and the automation workflow that receives contact form submissions.
  • My email and business tools, which receive your enquiry so I can reply and keep track of it.

I do not sell your personal information. I may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights or the safety of others.

Cookies and your choice

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing from Google Analytics loads or is stored until you accept. Declining works just as well, and the site behaves the same either way.

  • Google Analytics cookies (names beginning _ga) measure site usage. They are set only if you accept.
  • Cloudflare cookies and tokens can be set for security and bot detection. They are needed to keep the site and the contact form safe.
  • Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage on this site so I do not ask on every page. It expires after about six months.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Declining or withdrawing stops Google Analytics and deletes its cookies. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, I treat it as a decline. There are no advertising or social media tracking cookies on this site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

International transfers

The providers above operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the law requires it, those providers rely on recognised transfer safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as they are useful for the conversation or the working relationship, and for as long as the law requires me to keep business records. If you ask me to delete your information I will, unless I have to keep something for legal reasons. Analytics data is kept for the period set in my Google Analytics account. Server logs are kept for a short operational period.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and California law, you may have the right to:

  • ask what personal information I hold about you and get a copy;
  • ask me to correct anything that is wrong;
  • ask me to delete your information;
  • object to, or ask me to limit, how I use it;
  • ask for your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time where I rely on it, including through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer;
  • complain to your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. I may need to confirm who you are first. I will not discriminate against you for using your rights.

Security

I use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and bot protection. No system is perfectly secure, so I cannot promise absolute security.

This site links to other websites, including sources I cite in articles. I do not control them and I am not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before you share anything.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I handle personal information, I will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be easy to find here.
